Headquartered in Germany, the Minol Group has specialised in metering and billing for more than 60 years. The Australian operation brings Minol to its 27th country, and the 5th continent.
In March 2007, Minol Messetechnik purchased the assets and intellectual property of Brisbane-based MultiBill Corporation, an innovative and leading outsourced provider for utility billing and back office services. At the time, MultiBill had 3 clients, incuding one large Government-owned electricity retailer. To Minol, this acquisition was a key expansion both locally and internationally. Locally it means Minol Australia is able to provide additional services such as the provision, implementation, management and billing capability of smart meters for gas, electricity and water, as well as handle the full range of billing for energy retailers.
Minol have been manufacturing technically-advanced meters for 59 years across many countries and recently built a state-of-the-art plant is Shanghai, China. The Minol Group has more than 1,800 employees and an annual turnover in excess of 210 million.Euros (about $A400 million)
Minol Australia provides a complete outsourced front and back office service from quote to collection for energy retailers. Within its unique all-inclusive "per customer per annum" and NO CAPITAL EXPENDITURE* pricing policy, Minol now covers meter provision, meter management, billing, back office and call centres. This pricing policy allows energy retailers to effectively "lock in" a cost-to-serve for the next 3, 5, 7, or 10 years.
